ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ieva Benz (Ieva Bendžiūtė, Lithuanian born living in London UK) focuses on abstract landscapes.

Each of Ieva’s artworks is full of heartfelt feeling and concept, responding to the events surrounding her. Her love for nature and its universality in reflecting human emotions make it the theme of all her works, while leaving space to fill in the gaps, no matter how a person thinks.

Acrylic is her favourite medium because it dries quickly, allowing her to paint spontaneously and quickly – without letting herself forget the fleeting feelings that would have inspired the original creation of the painting. She finds that painting with the emotional energy that the brushstrokes convey is the only way to create emotional landscapes that she can be proud of.

Ieva’s unpredictable brushstrokes leave her paintings full of meaningful colours and hazy landscapes that undoubtedly represent the deepest emotions of a person.

Ieva Benz (Ieva Bendžiūtė,) gimusi Lietuvoje, gyvenanti Londone, savo kūryboje daugiausia dėmesio skiria abstrakčiams peizažams.

Kiekvienas Ievos meno kūrinys kupinas nuoširdaus jausmo ir koncepcijos, reaguojant į ją supančius įvykius. Meilė gamtai ir jos universalumas atspindintis žmogaus emocijas pavercia meninkės visų jos darbų tema, paliekant erdvės užpildytas spragas, kad ir kaip žmogus mąstytų.

Akrilas yra jos mėgstamiausia terpė, nes jie greitai džiūsta, todėl ji gali tapyti spontaniškai ir greitai – neleisdama sau pamiršti trumpalaikių jausmų, kurie būtų įkvėpę pradinį paveikslo kūrinį. Ji pastebi, tapant su emocine energija  kuria perduoda teptuko potepiai yra vienintelis būdas sukurti emocini peizažas, kuriuo ji gali didžiuotis.
